How to seafile accounts read-only

Can I find out if it's doable to configure a read-only setting for end users? This means they can still open their files but won't be able to make any updates.

Seafile has no such option.

But, if you use S3 storage as the storage backend, you can set the storage as read-only at the storage provider's settings page, so that all files can't be rewritten successfully.
