To create a container in Proxmox, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the Proxmox web interface using your credentials.
  2. Navigate to the "Create CT" option on the left-hand side of the interface.
  3. Select the type of container you want to create. Proxmox supports various container types, including LXC and OpenVZ.
  4. Choose the template that you want to use for your container. You can either use a default template or create a custom template.
  5. Enter a hostname and a container ID for your new container. You can also configure the root password at this stage.
  6. Select the storage location where you want to create the container. You can choose from various storage types, including local disk, NFS, iSCSI, and Ceph.
  7. Choose the network settings for your container. You can either use the default network settings or configure custom network settings.
  8. Specify the resources you want to allocate to your container, such as CPU cores, RAM, and disk space.
  9. Click on the "Create" button to create the container.

Once the container is created, you can start, stop, or modify its settings as required.
